My Story

As a kid, I was obsessed with workbooks, textbooks, and basically any material teaching a topic to a learner. I even created my own worksheets to teach my mom subjects I had only just learned myself.

In other words, I’ve always been a major learning nerd!

As learning design has always been an innate passion of mine, naturally, at first I planned to study to become a teacher in college. Though not long after taking a psychology class in high school, I pivoted my undergraduate major to learn all about brain science and human behavior.

After earning my Bachelor’s degree in psychology, as fate would have it, the first job I landed was within the executive education division of a consulting firm called the Leadership Academies.

Immersed in learning and development, I was ecstatic to finally have discovered the fascinating field of adult learning and instructional design.

Perfectly blending my passions for learning psychology, education, and everything design, I immediately fell in love.

I soon dove deeper into adult learning and development by earning my Master’s degree in Education and Human Development, concentrating in Instructional Design and Human Organizational Learning.

Ever since, I’ve continued to grow my multidisciplinary learning design toolkit by crafting instructional strategies and building training experiences in various industries across academic, NGO, healthcare, finance, and SaaS organizations.

Over the past 14 years, I’ve led successful learning initiatives that range from designing full online curriculum and certificate programs delivered to diverse global audiences to owning organization-wide learning technology implementations—and everything in between.

Although I've lived in US cities from coast to coast, I'm currently based in Denver, Colorado.

In my free time, I love performing improv comedy, learning languages, traveling, practicing yoga and meditation, and creating art through visual mediums, like multimedia collage.

I volunteer with local organizations to plan community art events and teach ESL to immigrants and displaced refugees.

I also ethically source and resell pre-loved clothing through my vintage pop-up boutique.

“And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
